  Artist's Statement

There are so many aspect to photography.  For me, a good photograph is simply one that shows the viewer something they have never seen before, or takes them to a place they may never be able to visit.

Previously living  on Puget Sound, I've been fortunate enough to drop anchor in what I believe is one of the world's most beautiful areas. And now, living in Hawaii where the light is so wonderful, I'm looking forward to capturing the island's beauty and it's wonderful culture.

After years of faithfully filing away my photos, I've decided it's time to share and going digital has allowed me to do so.  I can't think of anything more rewarding than knowing that one of my images made someone stop for a moment to marvel at how beautiful the world is.

Giclee (pronounced zhee-clay) reproductions were originally developed in 1989 as a digital method of fine art printing. The word giclee is French for “a spray or jet of liquid.” The digital images of an original work are stored in a computer and sent directly to a high resolution ink jet printer.

All images are produced on Epson papers are produced by an Epson 2200 printer with Epson Archival UltraChrome pigment inks. UltraChrome pigments inks retain the advantage of high resistance to fading from water, light and air contaminates. Epson UltraChrome inks on Epson premium papers have a high Lightfast rating from Wilhelm Image Research of 45 years. Epson 2200 archival prints far exceed the quality of most digital prints using dye based inks.  Frames are metal with a satin black finish. Larger prints and non-glare glass are available upon request.
