| Tropical Exposures The Day Book link, inspired by "The Daybooks of Edward Weston", takes you to my most recent exposure. The image is accompanied by musings regarding the work. In fact, this site is based on my belief that a photo may be worth a thousand words, but there are times when a thousand words can set the stage, provide technical details, or simply tell the rest of the story.

Hula Halau, Halaula, Hawaii. April, 2008 A lovely group of young hula dancers from Hula Ka Hana Koeau No Kalaniumi watch their older sisters perform during a site dedication for the Hawaii Wildlife Center. Once completed, the Hawaii Wildlife Center will provide treatment and recovery for sick, injured, and orphaned native wildlife, including threatened and endangered species. The facility will include a wildlife care and response unit, an interpretive and outreach courtyard, and an educational pavilion. Caring for injured endangered species and providing education and awareness programs on endangered species will be one of the Hawaii Wildlife Center's primary objectives. Did you know there are more endangered species per square mile on the Hawaiian Islands than anywhere else on the planet?
